Dec 4, 2022 · Fish Are Willing!! Along with this clean ice, we have found willing fish as well. Not super Toads but a lot of mediums to mid sized Jumbos! $40.00 – 12-4-22. We were in 30ish feet and 23 feet, the last two days. Sunday was flooded timber and today was just a little bay off a ledge. Starting Saturday, this area was just touching 4 inches. Today it touched 6, 2 inches in 96 hours, not terrible. That rate of ice thickness is about to be put into fast forward, and with clean ice for the most part, our ice sheet is about to be put into overdrive. I feel confident in driving ATV starting Friday in most areas and am 100% ...Typically, the early ice bite on Devils Lake is pretty good. Early Ice usually means some relatively shallow fishing and we have found that to be true the last few trips, today’s Perch were in 28-30 and today’s Walleyes were in 13-16 feet.
