Only items worth bringing are ones that give mage str bonus. Tormented, Occult, Slayer helm (!), Ancestral, Kodai wand/SOTD. Might be some others im forgetting, but if it doesn't give mage str bonus, it's not worth bringing and moreso worth to bring prayer boosting gear like proselyte or Holy Sandals. Greater Nechryael - Death Spawns. I recently hit 80 slayer and got my first Nechryael task. I decided to go with the greater variant in the catacombs. I put on my best mage gear for attack bonuses and used ice burst. Even though the death spawns hit super low it was frequent enough to where I had to keep leaving to the bank for food. Everyone I’ve seen already runs away from the minions. Super helpful though. Squeezing through the crack also deaggroes the minions, it's faster than running away.
