It's around $15 and should be part # 16706-HN8-A62. Take the fuel filter assembly off by taking off the right side cover like kentco said. You don't need to take off the mud guard but will need a small ratchet w/ a 10mm socket for the 1 bolt to the right of the fuel pump. Disconnect the 4 lines and pull the fuel pump out by lifting up then out.

A few days ago my 2001 foreman 450 ran out of fuel. Before it ran out it was doing the "I have enough gas to idle but don't move me ” thing like every ATV I’ve ever owned. I went and filled her up and the problem was still there. Naturally I figured it sucked some of the dirt from the bottom of the tank into the carb.
Feb 25, 2014 · Remove side covers and tank cover, three 8mm bolts hold the sending unit in place. Unbolt it, pull it out (the float is the size of the opening, and you have to turn it on it's side to get it out). Look at the reostat on the sending unit. Mine on my 06 was all corroded. I got a used sending unit and everything works fine now.
