Gamma is just the anomaly experience but with mods. I recommend playing True Stalker, because it is more similar to the original 3 games, but everything is over haul. I have nothing against Anomaly or Gamma because I play Anomaly myself, but I hate those people who only play Anomaly or Gamma without playing all the original 3.

Getting a 100% functional gun is a major milestone in gamma. It's not easy to loot the parts, oils and repair kits but it will come together eventually.
