Another thing to note is I really love building characters in games, so recommendations for scrolls and ascension would be much appreciated. Tao with a blossom build and an illusion. I always had successfull runs when going on granades which Summon swords, then I went on the defensive skill that gives me max. Shield for every sword that's sommoned, combined with the 50% chance of not consuming grenades that's pretty nice. Obviously sword DMG too.absolutely gamebreaking on Tao in particular. blossom enthusiast + flower chain causes all 4 hits of the chain beam to also hit up to 4 more nearby enemies twice, including the chained enemies themselves, combined with the very high fire rate creates an insane number of blossom procs and deletes entire rooms in less than a second. and you don't even have to aim lmao

This game is based around Lucky shots and crits, swords being unable to crit makes them useless. Also being in melee range when almost every enemy can one shot you in later stages is just not worth it. Yeah they are pretty meh after act 1. Not being able to crit is rough and they are almost unusable on most bosses.
